## The short version
**CalcDesk was built to collect as little as possible.**
- **The calculators collect nothing.** Every calculation (Proctor, concrete strength, sieve gradation, nuclear-gauge standard count, asphalt density, Atterberg limits, LBR, organics, and the rest) runs entirely on your own device. The numbers you type in are processed on your device and are **not** sent to us, not stored on our servers, and not saved by the App after you close it.
- **No accounts. No names. No login.** You do not create an account or give us your identity to use the App.
- **No cookies, no tracking, no advertising, no analytics.** We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or analytics tools in the App.
- **The only thing we ever receive** is what you choose to send us through the optional suggestion/complaint box, described in detail below.
Privacy is a genuine feature of this App, not just a policy. We designed it that way on purpose.

## 1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Gorman Field Services, LLC ("GFS," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the **CalcDesk** application (the "App"), whether you use it as a mobile web app, a browser app, or a version from an app store.
## 2. The Calculators — No Data Collection
All calculators operate **locally on your device**. The measurements and values you enter, and the results the App computes, stay on your device during your session. GFS does **not**:
- receive, transmit, or store your inputs or results;
- log which calculators you use;
- assign you an identifier or profile;
- require or collect your name, email, employer, location, or any account information for the calculators.
Because the calculators run on-device and store nothing, GFS has no access to your calculation data and cannot retrieve, recover, or disclose it.
## 3. The Suggestion / Complaint Box — What We Collect and Why
The App includes **one** optional feature that sends information to GFS: a suggestion/complaint box. It is entirely voluntary. If you never use it, GFS receives nothing from you.
When you submit a message through the suggestion box, the submission is sent to a server operated for GFS on the Cloudflare platform and stored. We collect only:

We do **not** ask for, and the suggestion box does **not** require, your name, email address, or any account. Please do not include personal, confidential, client-proprietary, or sensitive information in your message — if you do, you are choosing to send it to us, and we will handle it as described here. If you want a reply, you may choose to include your contact information in the message, but you are not required to.
## 4. How We Use Suggestion-Box Information
We use the information in Section 3 only to:
- read and respond to suggestions and complaints;
- fix bugs and improve the App;
- prevent abuse of the suggestion box (rate limiting); and
- comply with law if required.
We do **not** use it for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
## 5. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data
GFS does **not** sell, rent, trade, or share suggestion-box information (including your IP address) with third parties for their own use, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only third party involved is our infrastructure provider, **Cloudflare**, which hosts the server and stores the data on our behalf as a service provider/processor. Cloudflare processes it only to provide hosting to us, subject to its own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
## 6. Retention
We keep suggestion-box submissions only as long as reasonably needed to review and act on them and to maintain a record for abuse-prevention purposes, and then delete or discard them. IP addresses collected for rate-limiting are retained only as long as needed for that anti-abuse function. If you want a submission deleted, contact us (Section 9) and we will honor reasonable requests where we are able to identify the record.
## 7. No Cookies, Tracking, Analytics, or Ads
The App does not use cookies, local tracking identifiers, advertising SDKs, or third-party analytics. We do not track you across apps or websites. **If GFS ever adds analytics or any other data collection in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy, change the effective date, and update the app-store privacy disclosures before that collection begins.**
## 8. Children's Privacy
The App is a professional/technical tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. GFS does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the calculators collect nothing and the suggestion box does not request identity, we do not knowingly collect children's data at all. If you believe a child has sent us information through the suggestion box, contact us and we will delete it.
## 9. Your Choices and How to Contact Us
Because the App requires no account and the calculators collect nothing, there is generally no personal profile to access or correct. For anything related to the suggestion box — including a request to delete a message you sent — contact:

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or other state laws (for example, to know, delete, or opt out of "sale"/"sharing" — of which we do none). To exercise any such right, email us. We will respond as required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
## 10. App-Store Privacy Labels
App stores require developers to disclose data practices, and those disclosures must match this policy:
- **Apple App Store — "Privacy Nutrition Label":** Based on the practices above, the calculators would be disclosed as **"Data Not Collected."** The suggestion box, if included in the store build, would be disclosed as collecting a small amount of data — the free-text message content (**"User Content"**) and the IP address / diagnostic data — used for **"App Functionality"** (and anti-fraud/abuse prevention), **not linked to your identity** and **not used to track you.**
- **Google Play — "Data Safety" section:** Would similarly declare that the calculators collect no data, and that the suggestion box collects the message ("User content — other user-generated content") and technical/device-or-other IDs (IP) for app functionality and fraud prevention, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and not sold.
These labels must be kept accurate. If the App's data practices change, the store labels and this policy must be updated together.
## 11. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect suggestion-box data, including transmission over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and storage on the Cloudflare platform. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## 12. International Users
The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S. and choose to send a suggestion, your submission will be processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.
## 13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, will be posted and made available in or through the App and, if provided, at the App's privacy-policy URL. Material changes to data collection will be reflected here and in the app-store labels before they take effect.
